What is NR™?

NR™ (nicotinamide riboside) is a form of vitamin B3. It works in a line of NAD+, which is a coenzyme that is needed for important body functions, such as, metabolism, energy production, and regulation
of the body’s circadian rhythm. It may also be beneficial for repairing DNA damage, which may be useful for anti-aging.

NR™ (nicotinamide riboside) is transformed by the body into nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+). NAD+ is a key component in aiding in circadian rhythm. It also repairs DNA that has been damaged and strengthens the cells’ defense mechanisms. NAD+ is the main proponent in working with the body’s metabolism by converting food into energy.

NAD+ levels drop as the body ages. Because of the lower levels, several  health issues can arise such as:

  • Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Diabetes
  • Heart Disease
  • Loss of Vision

Supplementing the body with nicotinamide riboside supplements
appear to aid in raising the levels of NAD+ levels. In animal research trials, increasing NAD+ levels may lower the risk of various diseases and even aid in reversing the signs of aging. Interestingly, animal research has found that raising NAD+ levels may help lower the risk of many chronic diseases as well. NR™ (nicotinamide riboside) is found naturally in fruits, vegetables,  meat, milk, and yeast although in minuscule amounts.
